Official Day of Mourning in Belleoram
November 28, 2005

It's an official day of mourning in Belleoram as the town says goodbye to AJ Poole and Eric Savory, two of the three fishermen who perished at sea last week. Mayor Stuart May says the funerals are this afternoon at 2pm. May expressed his gratitude to the people of the province for their sympathy and condolences during this very difficult time. The funerals take place at 2pm at St. Lawrence Anglican Church in Belleoram.  On Friday, the search was scaled back for the third victim of the fishing tragedy. The trio had set out Tuesday in an open boat. Searchers found their empty vessel and some debris Wednesday. Two bodies were recovered Thursday.
